AUDIENCE:   System Programmers who have light or no experience using the System Modification Program (SMP/E) in an MVS, CICS, IMS, JES, or VTAM environment.

PREREQUISITES:   Knowledge of VSAM, z/OS JCL, and z/OS Utilities.

DURATION:   4 Days.

APPROACH:   This class is taught by lecture and hands on workshops.

OBJECTIVES:  

  • To provide the student with knowledge about the structure of the SMP/E database and data sets.
