HSM Implementation and Control




SUMMARY:   Suitable for the BCS Mainframe Technology professional Exams for level 2 Engineer (Data Storage).

AUDIENCE:   This course is suitable for systems programmers and storage administrators who are responsible for implementing and managing Hierarchical Storage Manager (HSM) within an z/OS installation.

PREREQUISITES:   Delegates are expected to have an understanding of z/OS Storage Management that may be obtained from our z/OS Storage Management Fundamentals course and general system programming and operator’s skills.

DURATION:   3 days. Hands on.

OBJECTIVES:   The course covers all practical aspects of installing HSM and the ongoing management and control tasks. Lab exercises are included to support the learning process.
